Disney world resort check in process and security?

Anyone know how strict the check in process is at a disney resort hotel? I have 3 kids 10, 6,3 and most of the value hotels (sports, music, movie hotel) only let you book 2 adults and 2 children. I am thinking I can fit us in there to save money but not sure if ... And one of the All Stars has a family suite that would fit you all. Or, you can go off property, pay about the same for a condo with a kitchen as you would for a Disney Value, and have a TON more room! racegal ...
